PURPOSE:To obtain a 2-color copying photoreceptor requiring no filter in exposure, by using a photoreceptor consisting of laminated 2 photoconductive layers different from each other in sensitivity to chromatic color lights, and the second photoconductive layer composed of a charge generating layer and a charge transfer layer each containing a specified pigment. CONSTITUTION:A compound used as the charge generating agent of a charge generating layer 31 is represented by the formulaI, II or III in which X is an optionally substituted aromatic ring, such as benzene or naphthalene ring, or a heterocyclic ring, such as indole ring; Ar1 is as X; Ar2, Ar3 are each an optionally substituted aromatic ring, such as benzene or naphthalene ring; R1, R3 are H, lower alkyl, or phenyl; and R2 is lower alkyl, carboxy, or its ester. The first photoconductive layer 2 is formed on a conductive substrate 1 by Se vapor deposition, then said charge generating layer 31, and a charge transfer layer 32 containing a charge transfer agent are laminated in due order to form the second photoconductive layer 3, thus permitting the obtained photoreceptor to form a 2-color image by once exposure without using any filter. |
