The invention relates to active ingredient-containing, anhydrous gel compositions having a depot action, comprising a polyurethane matrix and relatively high-molecular-weight polyols as dispersion medium, and active ingredients, and to a process for the preparation of the gel compositions in the presence of the active ingredients. Active ingredients which can be used are biocides, pharmaceuticals, ethereal oils, fragrances, paints, detergents, anti-ageing agents, lubricants and antistatics, inter alia. The process is characterised in that a) one or more di- and/or polyisocyanates are reacted with b) one or more polyhydroxyl compounds having a molecular weight of from 1000 and 12000 and an OH number of between 20 and 112, c) from 0.1 to 50 % by weight of active ingredients, based on a) -e), optionally d) catalysts for the reaction between isocyanate and hydroxyl groups, and optionally e) fillers and additives known per se from polyurethane chemistry, where the isocyanate characteristic number is between 15 and 60, the product of the functionalities of the polyurethane-forming components is at least 5.2, and the polyhydroxyl compounds are essentially free from hydroxyl compounds having a molecular weight of below 800. |
