PURPOSE:To improve the capacity of the titled heat accumulator by a method wherein a vessel containing a heat accumulating agent is rotated so that the heat accumulating agent is crushed to have a large surface area and a large amount of heat of dissolution is obtained. CONSTITUTION:The heat accumulating agent consisting of inorganic salt such as magecium chloride is put into the vessel 11 and a solid agitating agent 13 consisting of a plurality of ceramic spherical bodies are dispersed into the heat accumulating agent in the vessel 11. Further, a water supply port 15 which serves as a steam outlet is provided at a portion of the wall of the vessel. With the above arrangement, when the vessel 11 is rotated about a rotary shaft 16, the heat accumulating agent 12 within the vessel is crushed by the solid agitating agent 13 so that the surface area of the heat accumulating agent is enlarged and a large amount of dissolved heat is obtained. |
