PURPOSE:To enable a latent heat accumulating material in the titled device to accumulate heat efficiently by a method wherein heat collecting medium circulation passages are formed within the latent heat accumulating material. CONSTITUTION:When sunlight is converted into heat energy by a heat collecting body 4 through a transparent plate 2 and an inner film 3, the heat medium circulating passages P1a, P2a,... which are located adjacent a heat collecting body and the heat accumulating material 5 in the passage are first heated so that the spacific gravity of the heat medium is reduced. The heat medium then transfers to an upper header 7a and the heat medium which is not yet heated is in turn supplied to the heat medium accumulating passages P1a, P2a,... from a lower header 7b so as to be heated. Thus, when the above condition is kept continued, the heated heat medium which has been transferred to the upper header 7a is forced to enter the heat medium circulation passages P1b, P2b,... so that it transfers heat to the heat accumulating material adjacent thereto while the heat medium itself is cooled. |
