PURPOSE:To prevent a failure in TTL photometry by providing an electronic flash device capable of TTL photometry with a detecting circuit which detects a camera not being in readiness for the TTL photometry. CONSTITUTION:If a film speed is set inadequately for TTL photometric mode, a signal is supplied from a camera side through a terminal T1 to turn on a transistor (TR) Q22. Then, an AND gate AND10 generates an H-level output and an OR gate OR12 generates an H-level output. Before a shutter is released, a TR Q23 is off and an inverter INV12 generates an H-level output. Since the output of an inverter INV10 is at a level H, an AND gate AND14 generates an H-level output to turn off a TR Q30, and then warning oscillating circuits R25- R28, A13, and C15 operate to turn on and off a TR Q32, so that warning display is performed on the camera side. |
