Industrial slag and other solid waste material is transported in pipelines in a heavy liquid, which is a suspension of fly ash in water in a volumetric ratio between fly ash and water of between 1:6 and 1:1, in a volumetric ratio of up to 0.2 parts slag and other solid waste material per 1 part of heavy liquid.
