PURPOSE:To obtain a heat fixing device having a fixing part insulated of heat from the outside and simplified parts by forming the outer frame parts of said device of resin having poor thermal conductivity. CONSTITUTION:The outer frame parts A and B of a fixing device having a roller pair of a heat fixing roller 11 and a press-contacting roller 12 are formed respectively separately to one body. For example, glass fiber reinforced thermosetting polyester is used in forming the outer frame part. The fixing part is insulated of heat from the other functional units and the photoreceptor in particular is protected; therefore, the entire part can be made smaller in size. Base members for mounting of rollers, separating pawls, etc., and a mounting base board or guide, etc. for a heater lamp, a thermal fuse, and other apparatus are formed in one body to the outer frame part of the fixing part, whereby the number of parts and assembling steps is reduced and the cost in terms of production techniques is reduced. |
