PURPOSE:To provide a uniform mixing of fuel and air as well as a stable combustion by a method wherein some air swirling flows are fed into an inner cylinder and into the space between the inner and the outer cylinders. CONSTITUTION:Air which is divided into a primary air tunnel 5 and a secondary air tunnel 6 is entered into an inner cylinder 10 and between the inner and outer cylinders 12 while being swirled, and mixed with the fuel injected from a nozzle 15 and then ignited at an igniter electrode 18. Volume of air to be fed into the inner cylinder 10 and a space between the inner and the outer cylinders 12 is of a circulating air flow, so that air pressures in the inner cylinder 10 are so distributed that they are low at the central part and high at the surrounding part that its central part is low and its surrounding parts are high. Due to this fact, a mixing of the fuel injected from the nozzle 15 and the air is made effective in a short distance, a smooth combustion of the mixture may be performed and a stability of the flame is also secured, resulting in reduction of combustion sound. |
