PURPOSE:To provide a gun type burner having superior characteristics of combustion by a method wherein a primary and secondary air volume is controlled in such a manner as a balance may be adjusted between a volume of combustion and an injection by nozzle when the combustion volume is varied so as to perform a superior mixing and stabilizing the flame over a range from a low combustion volume to a high combustion volume. CONSTITUTION:As combustion is changed from its low combustion to a high combustion, the primary air is swirled and mixed over the flame holding unit 22 so as to form a negative pressure area as well as to keep the held flame, and the secondary air which is made to a swirling flow at a swirling blade 13 is throttled at the orifice part 29 by the secondary flame holding plate 28 arranged at the leading end of an outer cylinder 12, a strong or high negative pressure area is generated at the back surface of a secondary flame holding plate 28 so as to retract the unburnt gas. Since the secondary air is supplied under its eddy current for the non-combustioned gas, the mixing is promoted at the secondary flame holding plate 28, resulting in providing a stable and superior combustion ranging from a low combustion to a high combustion. |
