PURPOSE:To facilitate the removal of a jammed original by lifting a pressure plate around a shaft to turn a revolving cam and oscillating supporting levers to move pressure rollers apart from feed rollers. CONSTITUTION:The original 12 inserted between guide plates 13 and 14 is nipped between the feed roller 17 and pressure roller 19 of conveying rollers 21, whereby it is conveyed. When the original 12 under conveyance is jammed, first the driving of the rollers 21, 22 is stopped, and an arm 24 is lifted to turn a pressure plate 23 about 90 deg. around a shaft 26. Thereby, a cam 28 is also turned about 90 deg. and assumes the form that the cam 28 forces a release lever 35 upward. As a result, the lever 35 oscillates upward around a pin 34, and its bent part 35a moves upward as well; therefore, the front legs 29a, 30a of supporting levers 29, 30 having ridden thereon are lifted upward so that the levers 29, 30 oscillate around pins 31, 32, thereby moving their respective pressure rollers 19, 20 apart from the feed rollers 17, 18. |
