A device for sucking gases out of a sealed combat chamber having large-calibre main armaments and having at least one machine gun as the secondary armament comprises a motor-driven fan whose exhaust channel opens outside the combat chamber. The fan (1), which is supported in a housing (2), is arranged in front of an opening, which forms the exhaust channel (15), in the combat chamber (14) and sucks the gas out of the combat chamber (14) via the free cross-section of the opening (15). The exhaust channel (15) opens in the firing opening (11) which is provided for the machine gun (13). When the machine gun (13) is operated, the fast muzzle gases assist in conveying the exhaust air which is sucked out of the combat chamber (14). <IMAGE>
