PURPOSE:To prevent copy paper and an electronic copying machine from stains and contamination caused by attracting again to a cleaning brush due to accumulated toners, by providing three-phase electric field sheet at the inside of a housing in the surroundings of the cleaning brush and forming the three-phase electric field curtain. CONSTITUTION:The electric field curtain sheet 11 on which plural wire-shaped electrodes 11a are laid at the suitable intervals in an orthogonal direction to a toner-carrying direction, is provided with at the inside of the housing 4. Three- phase alternating voltage is applied to the sheet 11 from a power source 12 and the three-phase electric field curtain is formed on the surface and back of the sheet 11. The residual toners which are removed from the surface of a photoreceptor 1 with the cleaning brush 3, are carried off by a rotation of the brush 3. Then, the toners which entered into the region of the electric field curtain generated along the inside surface of the housing 4, move along a line of electric force of the curtain and carried to the direction of an exhausting hole 4a. By this method, the toners are not ccumulated in the housing 4. |
