PURPOSE:To prevent a gasket from being deteriorated and an arm and a hinge, etc. from being damaged by placing a damping member between a valve box side valve seat and a valve body side valve seat of a swing type check valve so that the energy of the valve body may be absorbed when it collides with the gasket. CONSTITUTION:A ring-like gasket 13 is fitted into a valve box side valve seat 12a on the inner side of a valve box 12 located on the circumferential wall of an opening, which faces a valve body side valve seat 9a on the peripheral edge of a valve body 9. A damping member 33 made of elastic material provided with a number of perforations 32 extending through the wall and projecting farther than the top of the gasket in a form of a hollow annulus is concentrically arranged on the outer circumference of the gasket 13. |
