The joint consists of a tapered spigot (3A) and a mating socket (3B). The spigot (3A) fits inside the collector (1) and has a tapered lead (6A). It is fixed by riveting such that a projection (7A) remains. This projection is tapered and is longer along one side than the other. The socket (31B) is riveted into the collector (2) and has a shoulder (8B) which rests on the edge of the collector. It has a tapered inner surface (7B) to match the spigot. On assembly the outer surface forms a flush finish.
