PURPOSE:To enhance durability of a photoreceptor especially using ZnO powder without impairing its photoconductivity, by sticking a resin film with <=0.3mum particle diameter metallic oxide particles dispersed in the film, as a protective layer to the surface of the photoreceptor. CONSTITUTION:A protective film is prepared by kneading <=0.3mum particle diameter of metallic oxide, such as ZnO, TiO2, SnO2, Sb2O3, In2O3, or Bi2O3, especially a mixture of In2O3 and SnO2, and SnO2 in presence of metallic Sn, with a binder resin, such as polyethylene terephthalate in an amount of 3- 65wt% based on the resin and dispersing it into the resin uniformly. This film 2-20mum thick is stuck to a photoconductive layer formed on a conductive substrate using a liquid epoxy resin as an adhesive to form a protective layer, especially on the photoconductive layer using ZnO. Known, inorganic and organic photoconductive materials can be used. As a result, mechanical strength, solvent- resistance, durability, etc. are enhanced. |
