The protective support for a plant seed comprises two flexible sheets between which seed grains are housed in pockets formed by welding or gluing the sheets together. One or both of the sheets are of hygroscopic material. The sheets (1,2) are of different degrees of hygroscopicity, the top (1) being less so, while the pockets (12) are formed in tongues (5) cut out and retained by an attachment lug (7). The width of the latter can be appreciably less than the tongue length. One of the sheets can be of material which can be heat-welded.
|
