The motor vehicle has an electric motor generator unit fitted to each half shaft between the differential and the driving wheels. The motor generator unit is coupled to electrochemical batteries, either nickel or zinc type, and the batteries are recharged by dynamic braking of the vehicle. During propulsion of the vehicle the batteries supply the motor generator units, which are electrically in series, reducing cabling requirements.
