PURPOSE:To obtain a high image resolution with a simple structure, by controlling a light emitting source so that the light emitting intensity is increased when a single picture element is recorded. CONSTITUTION:A picture signal 1 is supplied to a shift register 13, and a transistor TR16 is driven by a parallel output Bout to flow a current I1 to a laser 3. At the same time, the picture element signals before and after the picture element to be recorded are extracted in the form of Cout and Aout respectively. A TR21 is driven by the output of an NOR gate 19 in case the above-mentioned picture element signal is set at ''0'' along with the picture element signal of Bout set at ''1'' respectively. Thus a current I1+I2 flows to the laser 3. In such way, the laser current which is necessary to obtain the laser output for the continuous recording of 2 spots is set at I1; and the laser current necessary to obtain the laser output for just a spot is set at I1+I2 respectively. Thus a high image resolution is attained. |
