PURPOSE:To improve the durability and the wear resistance of a magnetic head, by mixing and using an iron oxide magnetic powder and a small quantity of an iron oxide magnetic powder with cobalt adhered to. CONSTITUTION:Powder, where 100pts.wt. iron oxide magnetic powder such as gamma- Fe2O3 and 3-10pts.wt. iron oxide with cobalt adhered to such as gamma-Fe2O3 with Co adhered to are mixed, as magnetic powder forming a magnetic layer is applied onto a base material together with a binder to form the magnetic layer, thus obtaining a magnetic recording medium. |
