<p>The device balances bodies which rotate about a vertical axis, and contains distributors which supply a liquid to balancing tanks which are mounted coaxially with the body. The sources of the liquid are in the centre of the body and are water-tight. The distributors also contain chambers each connected to one source chamber and to one balancing chamber. The ends of the connecting pipes inside the distributor chambers are equidistant from the axis of rotation and further from this axis than the source chambers. The end of the pipe leading to the source chamber is above the level of liquid inside the distributor chamber during rotation. The end of the other pipe is under this level.</p> |
