In a device for shutting off the feed and return lines of a device through which there is a flow of liquid or gas, such as a water softening plant, a filter unit, a heat exchanger etc., the shut-off valves for the feed and return lines are arranged in a common housing and can be operated jointly. Also integrated into the housing is a bypass, which is automatically opened when the two shut-off valves are closed. The device has at least one tube-in-tube flange and can thus be connected to a connection piece having a tube-in-tube flange. <IMAGE>
