A brake shoe arrangement with a lining attached to a brake shoe is provided. To create an arrangement of this kind which makes it possible, by means of suitable additional measures, to fill up any cavities and thus reduce the noise level during braking, it is envisaged according to the invention that a film (2) composed of a material based on long-fibre asbestos bound by rubber be mounted in a slip-resistant manner, so as to resist shear, between the brake shoe (3) and the lining (1), and that noise-insulating, vibration-damping particles be embedded in the film (2). It is expedient here if, according to the invention, round holes (5) are arranged in the film (2) to match the pattern of drilled holes in the respective brake shoe (3) and lining (1). By inserting the film in the arrangement according to the invention, the acoustic vibrations are absorbed. The braking noises, the overall effect of which is irritating, are thereby damped. <IMAGE>
