摘要 The arrangement for continuous measurement of the contents of slurries operates independently of the slurry density and composition using X-ray fluorescence analysis. A slurry flow channel passes through a measurement chamber with measurement windows on both sides, a primary radiation source and a detector for the primary and target beams aid the excitation beam. It can be used to analyse components over a wide range of conc., e.g. from 0.1 to 84 per cent of Pb in PbS/ZnS. Between the detector (8) and its associated measurement window is an annular source (7) or several individual sources for illumination of the slurry. The annular source is arranged about an open passage between the measurement window (5) and the detector (8) acting as a collimator (9,10,11) for the primary and target radiation and for the X-rays excited from the primary and annular sources.
