A device for temporal control of the energy delivery of a heat pump, in particular of an air/water heat pump, is provided on the heat exchanger of a hot-water storage container which is possibly combined with a heating installation. The device comprises a control device, preferably in the form of a time switch clock (8), by which beginning and end of the storage of the energy delivery of the heat pump (1) to the storage container (5) via the heat exchanger (2) can be adjusted depending upon the maximum output of the heat pump (1) or upon the hot-water consumption, the energy delivery of the heat pump (1) to the heat exchanger (2) taking place only as of a predetermined output of the heat pump (1). <IMAGE>
