A device for the mutual connection of prefabricated, panel-shaped wall elements, in particular for walls intended to be installations, has in each case one longitudinal connecting bar, parallel to at least two mutually opposite side surfaces of the wall element, and a transverse connecting bar, parallel to at least a third side surface. The ends of these connecting bars project from mutually perpendicular surfaces of a corner cutout which is free on all sides and is located in the wall element, the longitudinal axes of transverse and longitudinal connecting bars intersecting one another. The connecting bars are provided at the ends with an external thread and a connecting body with a longitudinal bore is pushed onto the ends, assigned to this transverse connecting bar, of the longitudinal connecting bars in the corner cutout. This connecting body has, in a plane running perpendicularly to its longitudinal bore, at least two mutually opposite threaded receiving bores for the threaded ends of the transverse connecting bars. The wall element is prefabricated with said elements of the connecting device. In the case of the later connection of the wall elements on the building site, the ends, respectively directed towards one another, of the longitudinal connecting bars or of transition threaded bolts are screwed together via turnbuckles. <IMAGE>
