The invention serves for the individual separation of textile articles in particular and for subsequent positioning. The aim and object of the invention are primarily the better adaptation of the gripper elements to the gripping operation. The gripper elements terminate at the bottom in tip-like profiles (11) located closely next to one another. One profile is fastened to a column of the gripper and the other profile is fastened to a finger (4) which is articulated in the column above and laterally of the first-mentioned profile. The stack to be individually separated rests on a soft base, preferably a foam-rubber plate.
