When opening the window, flowerpots on the window sill are in the way and must be removed each time. This is avoided by the new invention which envisages arranging, over the window sill, a window flower board which can be pivoted out and, being provided with a pivoting mount, can be pivoted away from the window so that the window can be opened freely. This arrangement is also very advantageous when cleaning the window. The flower board can also be designed as a pivotable flower ledge or flower shelf.
