The switching network (SN) of a telephone switching system has hitherto been used for remote-control changeover of special-service subscriber connection circuits (STS) for the announcement of changed telephone numbers. However, since the switching network is not present everywhere within the telephone switching system, the changeover of the special service subscriber connection circuits (STS) is effected via the ubiquitous subscriber line testing network (PN). The individual switching procedures within the special service subscriber connection circuit (STS) are initiated by inputting corresponding code digits on the test position (PP).
