The invention relates to a coupling for connecting mould plates and platens (8, 9, 10) of an injection-moulding or compression mould. The coupling comprises a locking bolt (1), which is firmly connected to a platen (8) and penetrates the mould plate halves (9, 10). The connection of the first mould plate half (9) to the locking bolt (1) is performed by means of a driver. The latter comprises loose ring segments (24) which surround the locking bolt (1), are connected in a jointed manner to the second mould plate half (10) and the free ends of which engage in an annular groove (1f) of the locking bolt (1). The ring segments (24) are in this case under the effect of a pretensioned spring (4), which is restrained between the first mould plate half (9) and a locking ring (3) embracing the segments (24). The locking ring (3) is axially displaceable by means of a lock sleeve (5), which coaxially surrounds the ring segments (24) and the locking bolt (1) and is firmly connected to the second mould plate half (10). <IMAGE>
