The invention relates to a sail board or the like, comprising a firm outer skin of plastic and a plurality of separately produced functional elements fitted in the cavity enclosed by the outer skin, which elements form the mast-base bush, the centreboard compartment, the fin compartment, bushes for the fastening of sail board accessories, reinforcing elements, floats or the like and may be surrounded, at least partially, by a foamed-in core material. These functional elements are not fastened subsequently after completion of the board outer skin in the latter by adhesive bonding or screwing, but are moulded into the outer skin during rotation moulding of the same, once they have been placed in the mould of one or more parts and fastened in it. In this way, a uniform, one-part board body is produced, in which the functional elements are adhesively bonded or fused with the outer skin, whereby the sail board is given surprisingly favourable characteristics regarding its stability and its surface condition, added to which are cost advantages in its production, in which the plastic is introduced in liquid or powdered form into the rotation mould, which is in one or more parts and contains the functional elements, and is distributed over the inside wall by rotating this mould to form the outer skin of the board, whereby at the same time the surface of the functional elements is also covered, at least partially, by the polymer material introduced.
