摘要 <p>Because of the impossibility of guiding the flash over the microscope onto the sensor, it has not to date been possible to apply commercially available computer flash units having an external sensor in the case of flash photomicrographs. In order to provide the remedy here, and to permit the use of a computer flash unit in conjunction with an arbitrary camera when making photographs by means of autodynamic control of the flash light emission, it is proposed to combine a microscope with a timer unit which is equipped with a light-measuring probe which is introduced into the beam path of the microscope tube and upon the emission of flash light conveys to the timer unit a number of pulses which is proportional to the volume of light received, which pulses are used in turn at the instance when a desired illumination threshold stored in the timer unit and formed from the film sensitivity, photograph format and the dazzling effect inherent in the microscope beam path is exceeded to cause a secondary light source which is mounted on the external sensor of the flash unit and flashes up without inertia to emit light, and the camera shutter located in the open position to close.</p>
