Motor vehicle heating, ventilation and air-conditioning unit - uses auxiliary flap to obtain separate adjustment on driving and passenger sides

The unit has a temp. mixer flap (6) moved between two end positions to fully close or fully open a bypass duct (7) for the warm air duct (8). The air stream is differently divided between the bypass duct (7) and the warm air duct (8) on the driver's side and the passenger's side via an auxiliary flap (13) lying in one of the air streams, e.g. on the driver's side, and adjusted independently of the temp. mixer flap (6). Pref. the auxiliary flap (13) is pivoted to the free end of the temp. mixer flap (6) with the pivot axis lying at the height of the edge between the bypass duct (7) and the warm air duct (8). The unit is designed for max. flexibility.
