摘要 Device for transporting articles to be fired and lower firing duct closure for continuous furnaces, in particular in the fine ceramic industry, with the aim of keeping necessary pushing forces low, avoiding dust development and saving material and energy costs and working time in the construction and operation of a furnace provided with such a device. This is achieved by the sealing contact point between firing carriage and furnace side wall, forgoing sand channel and apron, being laid on the sliding rail which is connected in a gastight manner to the furnace side wall, and the carriage surface between the sliding rails being made gastight by a specially formed metal sheet welded into the carriage frame. The sliding rail segments, which can be made hollow for forced cooling with air, are interconnected flexibly at their joints by sliding sheets inserted vertically into corresponding slots. The pushing-force transmission between the carriages takes place on the sliding skids. <IMAGE>
