The noise signal simulator according to the invention comprises a reflection absorption circuit which is disposed between a high-frequency noise pulse generator based on the charged delay line principle and a capacitor serving as a DC block, the latter leading to the mains connection of the device under test. The reflection absorption circuit comprises a parallel resistor and a series resistor. The resistance values of these resistors are defined in such a way that the impedance, seen from the input side of the reflection absorption circuit, is the same as the output impedance of the generator and that the impedance, seen from the output side of the reflection absorption circuit, essentially corresponds to a pre-defined standard impedance. Furthermore, an earthed printed circuit board, by means of which the stray capacitance can be set before the noise signal simulator is used, is movably disposed in the vicinity of the series resistor and the capacitor serving as a DC block. <IMAGE>
