For the extension subscriber devices (NST) and the operating subscriber devices (BST), the special telephone system (FSA) has subscriber-assigned switching sub-stages for the extension part (TK-N) and switching sub-stages for the operating part (TK-B). To determine the seizure (call) frequency (regularity) and the number of call connections which can be through-connected in parallel between the two parts of the special telephone system (FSA), the switching sub-stages for the extension part (TK-N) can be connected to the metering device (ZAE) and the limit value storage device (GSP). Special telephone systems of this type are required, inter alia, for power supply companies. <IMAGE>
