A rotor (5) is eccentrically and pivotably mounted inside a housing (1) with a cylindrical inner surface (2). Carrier plates (8) extending radially outwards are rigidly fixed to the rotor. Between each carrier plate and a support plate (10) assigned to each carrier plate an elastic turbine blade (9) is clamped. The blade is deflected to a greater or lesser degree depending on the position of the turbine blade inside the housing. From a certain deflection upwards the turbine blade bears on the outer bent off edge of the support plate. Since with further deflection of the turbine blade only a short section of the blade is crucial to its springing after coming to bear on the support plate, the effective spring constant is rapidly increased so that the force with which the edge area of the blade is pressed on to the said inner surface is great. The result of this is that the contact pressure is small for a slight deflection of the turbine blade, resulting overall in lower losses due to friction. <IMAGE>
