Tilting syphon feed

Tilting syphon feed, which is to be assigned to the area of waste water discharge, has the object of delivering batches of waste water, arising at a low rate, after storage in a collecting container, in an amount required by a unit provided downstream in order to be able to operate effectively. The invention achieves the object by submerging a syphon pipe, which is built into the collecting container and which is immersed in a tipping vessel external to the container, to such an extent that the water depth established in the tipping vessel, which is of the same magnitude as the submersion depth, causes the vessel to tilt. The emptying of the vessel releases the submersion depth in the collecting container and the syphon pipe begins to run. The tilting syphon feed is suitable in particular for feeding irrigation units and sand drainage filters, according to DIN 4261, which must be fed with a relatively large quantity of waste water in batches, so that the water arriving in the pipes does not percolate in the first few metres.
