The rear of the housing (10) of a supplementary headlight is partially constructed as a universal ball joint (11) in which a head screw (17) can be inserted at several points (18, 28, 29, 30). A base (12) which can be attached to the vehicle body (14) has a ball socket (19) which interacts with the universal ball joint (11) and has a quadratic opening (20).
