PURPOSE:To obtain the component effective as an antiallergic agent, by washing the bacterial cells obtained by the cultivation of lactic streptococci, suspending and disintegrating the cells in a liquid, separating and recovering the disintegrated cells, adding ethyl alcohol to the supernatant liquid, and separating the precipitated proteins. CONSTITUTION:Bacterial cells obtained by the cultivation of lactic streptococci (e.g. Streptococcus lactis) are washed, dispersed in a liquid, and disintegrated. The liquid containing the disintegrated cells is separated, and the supernatant liquid of the separated liquid is recovered. The supernatant liquid is dialyzed with a semi-permeable membrane, and the residue is centrifuged to obtain its supernatant liquid containing the active component. Ethyl alcohol is added to the supernatant liquid to precipitate the proteins contained therein, and the precipitate is separated from the ethyl alcohol solution as a component effective as an antiallergic agent. |
