A shutter device for metal-enclosed switch gear (1) of the type having a swich box (2) provided with disconnecting parts (4A, 4B) adapted to be connected electrically by a circuit breaker when the latter is inserted into the switch box (2). The shutter device (11) has shutters (12) movable into and out of positions for covering the disconnecting parts (4A, 4B) a vertically movable rod (13) supporting the shutters (12), an operating lever (14) connected at its one end (15A) to the rod and rotatable around a fulcrum (17), and an operating roller (20) provided on the circuit breaker (8) and adapted to roll on the portion (14B) of the operating lever (14) between the fulcrum (17) and the entrance-side end (15B) of the actuating lever (14) thereby to rotate the actuating lever (14) around the fulcrum (17) to move the shutters (12) into and out of the covering positions. According to this arrangement, it is possible to manipulate the actuating lever (14) at a portion (14B) of the latter remote from the electrically charged disconnecting parts (4A, 4B) so that the works such as inspection, protective maintenance and so forth can be conducted without the fear of dangerous contact of the operator's hand with the electrically charged disconnecting parts (4A, 4B). |
