<p>Wastepaper basket, of the type comprising a support 1, a receptacle bin 2 designed to be removably mounted on the support, and a lid 3 for said bin, mounted so as to rotate about a pin 4 between a closed position in which it prevents the bin from being removed from its support and an open position in which it allows it to be so removed, characterised in that said lid comprises at least one projection 25 interacting with a leafspring that is fixed relative to the hinge pin, the projection and the leafspring being so shaped that the spring is not in tension when the lid is closed and holds the lid in its position when it is open; the hinge pin 4 is engaged in at least one support bearing 20 and carries at least one bearing 21 formed in the lid, while locking means are provided to prevent axial movement of the hinge pin in its bearings when the lid is closed and allow such movement when the lid is open; the support comprises holding means 6 to support the bin at its bottom and locking means at its top. <IMAGE></p> |
