In the case of a dosing pump (metering pump) which is designed to deliver liquid media and which, for example for chemical processes, performs computer-controlled dosing, speed and/or piston travel being controllable, it is proposed to effect the drive for the piston (4, 4') of the pump (1, 1') via at least one hydraulically or pneumatically actuated working cylinder (2, 2'), said working cylinder(s) (2, 2') being controllable, in terms of lift and lifting speed, via an electronic controller (10), the piston velocity and the piston travel being preset to this end via an electronically controlled stepping motor (11) and being adjustable via a servo-control (9) with an actual-value feedback (8). This enables movement, very largely independent of the mechanical construction, of the pistons (4, 4') of the pump (1, 1') of the dosing pump, which can be matched, without any mechanical modification, to different flow media, delivery rates and time-dependent delivery profiles. If required, a plurality of dosing pumps of this type can be connected in parallel or in series. <IMAGE> |
