1. Method of making glass coated with a film of metal oxides in which a solution of metal compounds capable of decomposing to yield metal oxides on heating is sprayed on to a glass ribbon at a high temperature, in which waste material resulting from the thermal decomposition is removed by aspiration and in which there is used an open spraying space which is held at elevated temperature by means for blowing hot gas, aspiration and removal of the waste material are hated more intensely by contact of these devices with the means for blowing hot gas.
