A moving device essentially comprising an elongate, closed casing (1) being movable along the ground, extending transversely of the direction of movement (P1) and accomodating the driving gear for causing to rotate a plurality of standing shafts for the cutting members (2) projecting across the top wall, whereas the casing is built up from two or more preferably similar box-shaped parts having vertical end faces extending in the direction of movement and clamped to one another so permitting any length of the casing as desired dependent on the number of box-parts.
