PURPOSE:To achieve input of Kanji (Chinese character) with easy operation for a beginner and a skilled person correspondingly, by executing Kana (Japanese Syllabry)-Kanji conversion according to an input of Kana and performing distinguishable display for Kanji input keys corresponding to converted Kanjis. CONSTITUTION:A character code is given to a CPU via signal lines (a) and (b), and a code corresponding to a function key is given to the CPU via signal lines (a) and (c). When a character code of Kana is given in a Kana-Kanji converting means 8, the Kanji code corresponding to the Kana is transmitted to a keyboard controlling section 5 via a line (d) and if a plurality of homonyms exist, each Kanji code is all transmitted. The keyboard controlling section 5 illuminates a corresponding lamp group via a line (e). The input system using Kana-Kanji conversion and a general direct input system can be changed over through the key operation, and the operator who is familiar with a full key panel surface can input directly. |
