PURPOSE:To analyze state of failure due to a process inut and output signal simply and surely, by storing signal information with compression with taking a notice of the probability of change and the distribution of changing density of a digital signal. CONSTITUTION:A signal tracer 12 reads in a process input and output signal 15 and transfers the signal to a memory 19 at a signal reading and transfer device 17. A transfer operation timing of a constant period is given with a timer 16. Signal information stored in the memory 19 is compressed and transferred to a memory 20 with a signal compressor 18. When a trace stop signal 14 goes to 1, the operation of the timer 16 is stopped with a controller 21. A signal stored in the memory 20 with compression is restored at a signal expander 22 with timewise expansion. |
