APPARATUS FOR DRAWING OFF FLUID IN A PREDETERMINED MANNER

An apparatus has a duct in which there is disposed a pressuremonitoring device and a pump driven by a motor. A monitoring and control unit monitors the volume of fluid that has passed through the duct and determines a required pressure as a function of that volume of fluid. The monitoring and control unit compares the required pressure with the actual pressure and controls the motor and hence the pump so that the actual pressure is substantially equal to the required pressure.
