PURPOSE:To avoid staging processing for a prescribed period newly, by providing a disc cash memory to reduce the processing of read/write to a storage device. CONSTITUTION:A disc cash memory 2 is constituted that it is read/written with a disc cash controller 3. In response to access from an upper-order device, and a disc controller 1-0 checks if the desired data exists on a disc cash memory 2 and accesses a disc cash memory 2 in place of accessing disc memories 5-0 and 5-1, if the data is present. If not existed, the disc memory 5-0 or 5-1 is accessed and the desired data is transferred to the upper-order device, and the data for one track's share including the desired data is in staging on the disc cash memory. |
