The thongs making the cable wires and the weft wires are intersected and or interwined on a frame of an automatic weaving loom. The thongs are then wound respectively onto a set of bobbins and also onto a bobbin for inserting the weft wires between the cable wires separated into two layers. Tension is prevented in the thongs forming the wires and weft in the direction of their length so as to assure a homogeneous screen porosity and an increased solidarity of the screen.
