PURPOSE:To achieve high-precision digital conversion and to reduce power consumption by transferring an analog input voltage in the operation direction of comparators arranged in a pyramidal shape. CONSTITUTION:Comparators 111-117 are connected in a pyramidal shape and power consumption is reduced. The operation direction of a circuit supplied with an analog input voltage Vin, reference voltage c1-c7 from reference voltage generating circuits 40-42, and a clock signal CP, i.e. signal transfer direction is set equal to that of a group of the comparators arranged in the pyramidal shape. Thus, the transfer direction of the analog input voltage and the operation direction of the group of the comparators are set equal to prevent the generation of the jitters. Consequently, high-precision digital conversion is performed and power consumption is reduced. |
